To forgive her for her decision
To mourn her passing
Say goodbye to her fight

Cold and silent beneath the dense foliage
Held in their loving grasp.
Her gasps fading
With swollen throat
Asphyxiated on blood red pulp
Soft black earth beneath her nails
She tries to bargain with the roots
If only she could reach them.
Heave and sigh
Arch and fall back again
But the burning is much too strong
And the fire winding throu
